October 2006 will bring even more slot machines to
Florida, specifically to Gulfstream Park in Hallandale. Just like the Mardi
Gras Racetrack, Glufstream Park is one of the four locations in Florida
approved to get the new slot machines.
Bally Technologies announced that it will provide all of the slot machine
related service Glufstream Park will need for the scheduled October opening.
Partnered with Magna Entertainment Corp, Bally will provide the following
services: additional gaming devices, slot machine accounting, casino
management solutions and more.
Unlike the Mardi Gras Racetrack, Gulfstream Park will not open at full slot
machine capacity. Initially Gulfstream Park will open with 500 slot
machines, and has plans to go to full capacity in 2007 with 1500 slot
machines.
