South Florida Adds Casino

Pompano Park has announced the addition of a Las Vegas style casino (complete with slot machines) with the help of the Isle of Capri Casino. The area already boasts a wonderful Race Track and poker room, which has served it well with the locals over the years.

The new casino will handle 1,500 slot machines, a multi-story nightclub/bar, sports club, and four different restaurants to choose from. There will also be a four-star hotel with 450 rooms – along with a cheaper version with 250 rooms. They truly do seem to cater to everyone. These additions, and especially the slot machines, will undoubtedly bring in a much larger clientele that is no longer restricted to locals.

Even more so, the projected open date is quoted at being early 2007 – which means this time next year Pompano Beach, as well as the rest of Florida, will now have an upscale option for gambling and playing slot machines that has not previously been afforded to the state. Floridians no longer need to hop a boat or a plane to enjoy themselves, they can stay in their own state. This not only helps the area, and the inhabitants of the state, but for a state that has no state tax due to the tourist industry being what it is – this will only further ensure a comfy existence for residents.
