Slots Cheater Wins Big

Tommy Glen Carmichael, 53 year old resident of Tulsa, is a professional slot cheater. Authorities have called him an absolute professional at his job, which is to cheat slot machines. He is a master inventor, who has managed to rip off slot machines across the United States and the Caribbean for the past 20 years. He got his start with a small tool called a “top-bottom joint”, which was, at the time, the best cheating tool there was. He had his first offence for cheating when he was 35 years old, using that specific tool.

While in jail, Carmichael came up with a better way of cheating, and hooked up with Mike Balsamo – the two of them created a slot cheat gang. However, when they were released from prison, they found that their ideas of what a slot machine were had become outdated. The casinos had found new ideas for games, and made it much harder to cheat. Over the next few years, Carmichael came up with several different tools for cheating, such as the “slider” or “the monkey paw”, which enabled him to release roughly $1,000 an hour. Once the effectiveness of that was lost, he created the “light wand”. This would trick the sensor into releasing the money instead. From there he moved on to the “hanger”, selling it to clients and making money with it on his own as well. He had the perfect life.

Then, in 1996, Carmichael got caught with a light wand. Charges were dropped, but then he was caught again in 1998. He ended up losing everything. But today, Carmichael takes care of his elderly mother and creating anti-cheating devices. He has one called “The Protector” which he believes cannot be beaten. But for now, he remains barred from the casinos for life.
