Everything the slot player needs to know
| Gulf Coast is Relying on Slot Revenue |
|---|
The Gulf Coast is in the throws of welcoming the re-opening of several casinos that had been devastated by Hurricane Katrina nearly one year ago. As preparation for the areas rebirth takes place, the Gulf Coast is also making way for even more slot machines than before, which will all help generate funds for local rehabilitation. One of the casinos offering more has always been a local favorite by the name of Boomtown Casino. Boomtown is owned and operated by Penn National Gaming, and is a floating barge casino docked on Apalachicola Bay. It is a favorite of Northwest Floridians. The biggest draw for this Southern favorite seems to be its friendly nature. Before the casinos refurbishing, it also has a Family Fun Center, which housed a children's arcade and also a child-care service. Now, the Boomtown casino space will feature new slot machines and a new restaurant. The slot machines will bring Boomtown's count to one-thousand, which will nicely complement their twenty-two table games currently being offered. There are several Boomtown casinos through America, including one in Bossier City, Louisiana, New Orleans, Louisiana, Reno, Nevada, and the Biloxi, Mississippi casino which recently opened on June 29th, since Hurricane Katrina. It's operator and manager, Penn National Gaming, owns several riverboat casinos and slot machine properties throughout the United States. |
