Kiev Slot Machine Casinos on the Rise


While the media is responsible for bombarding Westerners with images of the Baltic states that show nothing more than poverty, war, and less-than-sustainable living conditions, there is actually plenty of economic activity going on in the Baltic region.  This is probably most characterized by the increasing number of slots casinos settling there.

Olympic Casino is the gambling operator mostly responsible for gaming activity that goes on anywhere from Odessa to Lithuania.  Operating over thirty casino gambling sites in the Baltic, including sixteen in Estonia alone, Olympic may seem like a monopoly.  However, credit must be given, considering they have put nearly $7 million into the Ukrainian economy, and employ over 1,200 people.

Expanding even more in Ukraine, Olympic recently opened their fifth slots casino in the Ukrainian capital of Ukraine.  With over thirty modernized slot machines and Las Vegas style entertainment under one roof, it is not like your typical casino resort.  However, Olympic operates by a unique concept that puts great emphasis on interior design and entertainment.  Think of their establishments as being fancy bars with live entertainment, great service and intimate slots gambling.  Although it cost little over $92,000 to build, the dollar goes much, much further in the Ukraine.

Following the announcement of their latest enterprise, Olympic Casino said they are planning to construct ten more slot machine casinos in Kiev before 2007.  In addition to their stronghold in Estonia, they currently operate seven slot casinos in Lithuania, five in the Ukraine, and five more in Latvia.
