Mohegan Sun Casino Credits Slots

One of Connecticut's finest casino resorts, Mohegan Sun, has been doing very well for itself since first opening its doors in 1996.  Now the casino is happy to report they have never had a better month of February than in 2006...and it was all because of their slot machines.  After payouts, the casino pulled in $68.9 million, which was over $860,000 more than February of last year.

As for big wins at the slot machines, the casino has dished out over $420,000 more than the same time last year, although February's numbers were less than the previous year.  Obviously contributing to this years record month, the payout percentage was at 91.23%.  Over $785 million was gambled by players on the slot machines, which numbered around 6,200.  The same time last year saw nearly 6,765 slot machines in operation, paying out 91.14%.  However, with $761 million being wagered by players, this years totals were able to surpass previous earnings.

The Mohegan tribe, which is very well-known in the state of Connecticut, is most definitely handling the news with humility, for more credit should definitely be given to their resort and casino as a whole - not just their slot machines.  Boasting a 7-story, indoor waterfall, 10,000 sq ft indoor pool, 3-story crystal mountain, three entertainment venues with A-list acts, a 20,000 sq ft spa, a 1,200 luxury room resort and an expansive retail shopping center with over thirty restaurants, it is no surprise the Mohegan Sun continues to draw a steady influx of visitors more than willing to spend money.
