Could Slot Machines Vote be Incorrect?

Voting troubles seem to plague Florida, and for those who thought the drama was over—the slot machines enthusiasts think that may not be the case. In Miami-Dade County, the voting machines used in the last election didn’t count all of votes. Some say that this could be the reason that the slot machines referendum did not pass. With these new voting machines the county is using, the tally count has been off in the past, so was it off enough to affect the results of the slot machines vote?

Of course the slot machines opponents are stressing that this is just the latest tactic the slot proponents are using to rationalize why their referendum did not pass. They say the vote count was fair—and beyond that, who will ever know. Because of the voting machines that the county has begun using, there is no longer a paper-trail to follow—so in essence there is no longer a way to check the results of an election if there is any dispute.

But the slot machines proponents believe that since there were over a thousand uncounted votes in the most recent mayor referendum there may have been foul play in the last one regarding the slot machines.
