North Side Fears Slot Machines Traffic

The Pittsburgh Steelers are not the only ones now vying for parking space in the North side of Pittsburgh, now the slot machines will bring in traffic woes as well. And North Side residents aren’t all that happy that the slot machines weren’t approved for another area of the city. But those on the South Side say that the slot machines would have caused traffic problems there are well.

Previously, North Side Pennsylvania residents only had to deal with massive back-ups and traffic jams on game days—now though many are predicting that the slot machines will make the already problematic streets a chronic traffic jam. But regardless of their issues with the slot machines, they are in fact coming to Pittsburgh thanks to Don Barden.

Perhaps the only way to have truly made Pittsburgh residents happy, the Gaming Control Board would have approved a slot machines parlor just outside of the city. But since that just isn’t the case, it looks a few people will just have to get used to the increase in traffic. And those who believe parking for the games will now be impossible? Where there is a will, there is a way as the expression goes, and all in all the slot machines may be just the ticket to bring in more revenue for the city.
