It looks promising for slot machines in Tobyhanna
Township—even with the extra conditions, the casino has plans to bring slot
machines to the township. The Pocono Manor Resort and Casino is responsible
for requesting permission to build a new casino, complete with 5,000 slot
machines.
That number of slots isn’t anything to laugh at either. With 5,000 slot
machines, the township will be seeing a significant kickback from the slot
machines casino. But that doesn’t mean that the Tobyhanna Township Planning
Commission didn’t put some limitations on the approval for the slot machines
casino. The Pocono Casino agreed to the roughly 30 restrictions and
conditions put on the development plans. These conditions included issues
with the outside agencies the slot machines casino must obtain on their own.
The planned casino will be so much more that just slot machines added onto a
racetrack as is often the case when some states approve slot machines. The
Pocono Resort will include the following amenities: hotel, two golf courses,
restaurants, recreational facilities, many gaming tables and the slot
machines that will make the resort their real money. The project is a
projected at $1.4 billion dollars in development costs—and that is all if
the land plan is approved by the Tobyhanna Supervisors Board.
Now the Pocono slot machines casino is just awaiting word on the slot
machines license from the Gambling Commission—and mid December they should
find out." slot machines
