Ohio Citizens Blame the Governor for Slot Machines

On the surface it seems that Ohio Governor Taft is opposed to the possible addition of thousands of slot machines to Ohio’s downtown racetracks—others allege that Gov. Taft’s many education increases necessitate the slot machines. The Ohio Learn and Earn campaign proposes to use the state’s share of slot machine revenue to grant scholarships to students, and according to the campaign, students desperately need this assistance.

The proponents of the slot machine campaign accuse the governor of pushing Ohio into the joining the MegaMillions multi-state lottery—yet now he is opposed to gambling. Additionally, the campaign claims that in conjunction with the Senator, college tuition has sky rocketed.

So suffice say the slot machine campaign views Governor Taft’s anti-casino and anti-slot machine tour as hypocritical since he isn’t proposing a different way to grant the needed millions of dollars in scholarships.
