Enoch Cree Casino Close to Opening

Alberta residents are excited at the news that the River Cree Resort and Casino will open much sooner than expected. The Enoch Cree Nation reserve is an aboriginal tribe; this highly anticipated resort and casino is the first the to be built on the reserve. And beyond just bringing slot machines and gambling to the town, the casino will bring hundreds of new job opportunities.

Enoch Casino Corp. President, Robert Morin, sees this as an opportunity to lower the unemployment rate of individuals living on the reserve, which is currently reaching 65%. The casino and slot machines will bring an additional 800 jobs to the town, and some of those will be from the Enoch Cree reserve. The casino will offer 600 slot machines, gaming tables, restaurants and more. And depending on the casino’s success, the reserve may be able to double the number of slot machines at the casino.

Between the new jobs, hundreds of slot machines, and the early completion date of this $178 million dollar casino and resort, Alberta residents have a lot to be excited about.
