New IGT and WMS Slots

Continuing our series of reviews on newly launched, multilevel progressive slot machines, we shall take a closer look at two games released by IGT and WMS - two of the industry's leading developers of slot machine technology.  Jackpot Hunter is IGT's new baby, while WMS continues to perfect its series of Jackpot Party machines.

Considering that Australian themed slot games dominate the penny slot machine industry, the Down Under theme of IGT's Jackpot Hunter continues to hold up this legacy with a few moderate changes. With five different progressive levels (aptly named after Australian animals - Platypus, Koala, Kangaroo, Crocodile and Great White), Jackpot Hunter delivers an excellent bonus round that freezes reels if certain animals are hit.  Free spins and multipliers help to give this mystery progressive plenty of action.

The first version of Jackpot Party by WMS came out in the late 90's, during which time several video machine versions were developed.  The entire series of Jackpot Party progressive slot machines use a variety of WMS base games, although the progressive rounds is solely Jackpot Party.  Much anticipation is awaiting the debut of these new machines, which should be ready to hit the market very soon (or already have done so if you are reading this at a later date).
