New Aristocrat Standalone Slots

The following is a review of some newly vamped, multilevel progressive slot machines by Aristocrat Technologies, including George Lopez, Agassi and Zorro.  In addition to providing some of the best pop culture icons and entertaining themes on the casino floor, these machines stand apart from the rest of the progressives in that they are "double standalones".

What this means is that each machine has two-level jackpots that are not networked with other slot machines.....In other words, they are standalone.  Showing dual-screens, players need not bet the maximum amount of credits per payline to be eligible for the progressive jackpot (as is the case with regular progressives).

Rather, such as the case is with the George Lopez machine, all that is required is that at least one coin for every payline and a ten coin ante.  With twenty-five lines, a player need only bet thirty-five coins to be eligible for a progressive - instead of the five-hundred coins that would be needed if the max bet was required for each payline.  Offering free spins (up to fifty free games when images of Lopez himself come up), and a second-screen bonus, players can vie for a "Major" jackpot starting at $100 and a "Grand" jackpot starting at $1,000.

The two other machines - Zorro and Agassi - each have something fresh to offer as well.  The original Zorro slot machine is in hyperlinked format and features a four-level mystery jackpot (debuted in 2004).  Now, the standalone version is out with the same fun characters like Sgt. Garcia.  As for Agassi, this machine was introduced in keeping with the sports hero machines Aristocrat has developed - like the Pele slot.  The penny slot machine named after the tennis star offers themed bonus rounds.
