A Guaranteed Jackpot

If you are reading this, you probably do not need any convincing on why you should play slot machines - especially when it comes to deciding between a table game and a your favorite progressive machine.  However, you may still find it interesting and informative as to how your chances of wining the way you can at slot machines are not the same with table games that provide some of the lowest House Edges in the casino.

Rather than trying to explain how often a large-sized progressive jackpot is won with numbers and figures, let's just say that it is statistically shown that a jackpot of $500,000 will be paid out twice a year (once every six months) having been spun with $1 bets one million times in a single year.  Although the odds are not very good of wining (somewhere around 50 million to 1), when compared to doing the same at say a blackjack table, the odds of winning the same jackpot actually fare better.

If a gambler were to try and win the same $500,000 jackpot by making $5 bets at the online blackjack table, not only would it take several years to amass this sum, the odds of doing so would be 10,000 to 1.  Of course, these odds are better than hitting the slot jackpot; However, they are not guaranteed, and will never happen.  Hitting the progressive slots jackpot, on the other hand, does happen and will.  The machines must meet their payout percentage - and will do so at a much larger scale and in less time than trying to become a millionaire at the blackjack table.
